Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Trade and Supply launched the media campaign and the media website of the Sudan Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, which will start on October 1 and will last for six months. The pavilion bears the slogan “Sudan is the country of endless opportunities.”
The First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information, Al Rashid Saeed, confirmed that the UAE provided the Sudan pavilion free of charge as assistance, while the Sudanese government provided the local component “4” million dollars to design the pavilion. Saeed pointed out that Sudan’s participation in the exhibition has a complicated history since the ancient era, and the file was referred to the Ministry of Trade, which made an appreciable effort in preparing the Sudan Pavilion with the help of the UAE.
The Senior Undersecretary for Culture and Media indicated that the exhibition will witness two events, the participation of Sudan through the Sovereignty and Ministers Councils, and the Sudanese-Emirati Friendship Day. He said that the show is not fixed and its location can be changed every day and broadcast on interactive screens, and the display can be changed and renewed in proportion to the length of time.
For her part, Nabawiya Mahgoub, Commissioner-General of the Sudan Pavilion, confirmed that Expo 2020 is different from other exhibitions, as it comes after the revolution and the removal of Sudan from the list of terrorism and integration into the international community and provides investment opportunities for the public and private sectors. Inside Sudan and the Diaspora youth have great opportunities for technical contributions and called on the media to contribute constructive criticism and evaluation to reach good results in the interest of the country.
Shadia Junedabi, head of the Media Committee, pointed out the boom in the fields of media after the revolution and the role it plays in reversing Sudan’s participation in the Expo under the slogan “Land of Endless Opportunities” and the sub-slogans “Opportunities – Mobility – Sustainability,” and she noted the development of an integrated media plan.
