Inflation declines in Sudan for the second month in a row

The inflation rate for the month of September decreased to 365,52%, compared to 387.06% in August.
In a press release, the Central Bureau of Statistics attributed the decrease in the inflation rate to a decrease in the annual rate of change “inflation” to 226.93% compared to 260.76% in August, in addition to the decrease in the inflation rate for imported goods in the consumer basket, which amounted to 203.44% compared to 222.29 % for the month of August.
The statement revealed an increase in the inflation rate in 8 states, the highest in Central Darfur and the lowest in the White Nile, while 10 states recorded a decrease in inflation, the highest in the island and the lowest in Kassala.
